Key responsibilities include leading property staff, managing hiring and onboarding, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The manager also drives team performance, conducts training on leasing and safety, prepares and monitors budgets, handles financial reporting, and coordinates with maintenance to resolve resident service requests.
Additional duties involve analyzing market and economic trends, partnering with marketing on leasing strategies, managing eviction procedures, and maintaining positive relationships with property owners through regular updates and property tours.
The Community Manager oversees all business operations at a designated apartment community, serving as the primary point of contact for residents and staff. Success in this role requires strong resident‑relations skills, effective communication, dependable leadership, and the ability to train and motivate a team.
Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, at least three years of multifamily property‑management experience, strong leadership and communication abilities, proficiency with Microsoft Office and property‑management software, and a valid driver’s license.
The role may require extended periods of desk work, occasional stair climbing, lifting up to 20 pounds, and exposure to typical office noises and occasional outdoor conditions.
