The CAD Manager is accountable for the availability, maintenance and continual improvement of the CAD system used by the engineering offices in France, the UK and the US. Responsibilities include managing the CAD library, ensuring its alignment with ERP data, providing expert support and training, and defining the documentation and standards that govern CAD activities. The role also drives integration of calculation and ITO tools, and contributes to new product development by keeping the CAD tools fit for purpose.
Operating under the R&D Manager, the CAD Manager collaborates with engineering teams, manufacturing, test‑bench, sourcing, quality, sales, IT and external suppliers. He/she has the authority to establish CAD best practices, create procedures and lead system evolution in partnership with the IT department, subject to approval by senior management.
The role also carries QHSE responsibility, requiring compliance with quality, safety, environmental and sustainability procedures, and active participation in waste reduction, energy saving and audit activities.
Successful candidates will possess deep knowledge of Lufkin and Allen Gears products, mastery of Creo Parametric and solid IT skills such as the Microsoft Office suite. Technical expertise in machining, manufacturing and CAD automation, as well as the ability to interpret specifications, drawings and databases, is essential. Strong organisation, independent‑working capability, teamwork, proactive problem‑solving, and excellent written and oral communication in English are required.
