Intermediate Interior Designer - Healthcare

Description

• Assist in developing interior designs for healthcare projects using standard and innovative methods.
• Prepare and present design concepts at User Group Meetings.
• Create technical plans, drawings, and models within project management plans.
• Participate in space planning, design development, and project management activities.
• Coordinate colour and material palettes, manage finish schedules, update documents, and produce renderings.
• Support contract administration and on‑site documentation preparation.
• Conduct research and stay informed on new products and industry best practices.
• Exercise independent judgment to select and adapt standard design techniques.

Requirements

We are seeking an Intermediate Healthcare Interior Designer to support innovative design solutions for large‑scale healthcare and corporate projects. The role involves independent work on smaller tasks and collaboration on larger projects within the Workplace and Healthcare practices.

• Multitask effectively, meet deadlines, and work independently or collaboratively.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
• Working toward or beginning registration with a regulatory body.
• Knowledge of healthcare standards (CSA Z8000, Code Plus, CSA B651) and accessibility guidelines.
• Proficiency in Revit/BIM, AutoCAD, Enscape, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bluebeam, Miro, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong research, data‑gathering and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and time‑management abilities.
• Experience with interior finish materials and furniture systems.

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $66,000‑$99,000, with actual compensation based on location, skills, experience and qualifications.
