Tasks

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Director to join the Woodman Point Project Team in Perth! In this role, you will effectively Develop commercial strategies, undertake high level contract reviews and provide authoritative advice to Project Director on matters relating to commercial opportunities and risks associated with the project to ensure the financial success. -Manage commercial issues, minor and major contract disputes when delegated by senior management -Lead commercial function of a project with value exceeding $500 Million. -Assist contract administrators and project managers as needed in commercial matters e.g. claims, contractual issues, disputes, preparing subcontract terms and conditions, and setting up administration procedures on and off site with accounting -Review and approve acceptance or proposed major / high risk subcontracts and any other subcontracts as instructed by senior management -Manage the commercial and contractual agreements both at Head Contract and Sub Contract level -Attend contract acceptance and contract review meetings as necessary to ensure commercial and contract administration issues comply with contract requirements, policies and procedures -Ensure project managers, contract administrators and all relevant project staff understand and comply with commercial requirements in contracts with customers and major/high risk subcontracts as per policies, procedures and guidelines -Builds trusting collaborative relationships with the team, clients and stakeholders -Provides exemplary leadership and mentorship to project Commercial team, whilst being a team player with the wider project team

What You Bring

-Advanced skills in procedures for project contract administration, general business administration and project management -10 to 15 Years experience as a Commercial Manager with experience working within a project management environment in commercial and contract administration gained on construction, engineering or associated projects
