Electrician

Description

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during construction or refurbishment projects.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
• Hours are usually Monday–Friday, with on-call rotas for emergencies.
• Maintain and repair systems to prevent downtime and hazards.
• Work alongside contractors, engineers, and project managers.
• Conduct inspections and testing to certify installations.
• Install wiring, sockets, lighting, and electrical panels in commercial buildings.

Requirements

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and qualified Commercial Electrician to cover various projects across the North West, Midlands, and Yorkshire. The successful candidate will be working across a range of commercial properties, including offices, schools, healthcare facilities, retail premises, industrial sites, and public buildings. They will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of electrical systems in these environments.

• BPSS security clearance (preferred).
• JIB/ECS Card.
• SSSTS qualification (preferred).
• MUST have a valid driving licence.
• Must be happy to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
• Uniform, PPE, and tools provided.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulation (BS 7671).
• IPAF or PASMA certification.
• SMSTS qualification (preferred).
• City & Guilds 239/2394/2395 – Inspection and Testing.
