In the Coordinator role, you will partner with the Supervisor and Team Lead to improve key performance metrics such as safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity. You will provide leadership that encourages teamwork, ensures timely material delivery, and proactively resolves production challenges. Additionally, you will act as a backup Team Lead when needed to maintain continuity of operations.
You will coordinate material flow within your designated area and across other areas to meet scheduled ship dates, while regularly updating order and material status with supervisors, material control personnel, work areas, customer service, and KanBan expeditors. Your duties include reviewing orders, drawings, travel documents, and bills of material to support troubleshooting, and utilizing tools like Microsoft Excel, DMM, AS400, and material synchronization spreadsheets to manage floor stock records. You will attend multi‑functional production meetings, tier meetings, and monitor production tasks such as turnbacks, Kanban lists, crane sheets, and SPCs, flagging past‑due parts as needed. Throughout, you will promote a safe, inclusive culture, process surplus or defective material per procedures, and address concerns by escalating them appropriately.
Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED, with an associate’s degree preferred, and a minimum of three years of manufacturing or materials processing experience. One year of leadership or coordinator experience, strong verbal and written communication, persuasive and analytical problem‑solving abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and SharePoint are required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and generally reside within a 50‑mile radius of the location, except for active‑duty military personnel. Flexibility to work overtime and the ability to work independently while influencing others without formal authority are also essential.
We are committed to equal employment opportunities for all applicants and employees, making decisions without regard to protected characteristics and considering individuals with arrest or conviction histories in compliance with local fair chance ordinances. Reasonable disability accommodations are available upon request for the job search, application, or interview process.
The organization offers a competitive benefits program, with specific options dependent on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and collective bargaining agreements.
