Conduct technical and business-related risk assessments that evaluate impacts associated with rules implemented by regulatory agencies.
Develop and conducts detailed financial analysis using a variety of computer-based software.
Comply with all policies and standards.
Perform a broad range of studies and other consulting services to support electric utilities and asset developers to make decisions backed by business and engineering analysis regarding their investments and power supply requirements, such as integrated resource planning, market assessments, valuations and power supply RFP evaluations.
Assist project managers in business development activities including proposal development and client relationships.
Perform forecasts and evaluations utilizing power supply planning software such as capacity optimization and hourly dispatch software models.
Conduct data analysis and interpretation of engineering, financial, and economic conditions and results, and subsequent technical business implications to client projects.
Support business lines as required by clients.
Analyze life-cycle costs by developing and incorporating technical assumptions regarding capital costs, operation and maintenance costs, performance estimates, and economic assumptions and forecasts.
Develop technical reports and presentations summarizing results of analysis.
Develop client presentations, engineering reviews, financial analysis, and contract administration for the design/planning of utility systems.
Mentor and train other employees on technical and business aspects of projects and the industry.

Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
Proven ability to lead, educate, and train a team of consultants and analysts in regard to power market studies.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
Ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines and to be effective in on-site work environments.
Knowledge of numerous power market regions of the country and independent system operators such as: PJM, MISO, NEISO, SPP, CAISO, WECC, SERC, ERCOT, NYISO.
Experience and knowledge of electric power options including generation facility types, capital costs, operating costs, typical dispatch profiles, and general power system operations. Knowledge of power supply purchase agreements regarding costs and terms.
Experience and knowledge of general business and financial calculations including discounted cash flow analysis, net present value analysis, and internal rate of return evaluations.
Willingness to learn new service offerings as client needs and the market requires changes to the service offerings provided by our group
Experience with power supply planning software, preferably EnCompass (zonal and nodal) and Capacity Expansion (or familiarity with PROMOD, Plexos, GridView, or others).
Ability to execute various power markets / power supply planning studies.
Ability to travel.
Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience associated with electric utility operations, planning, or consulting is preferred.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science or similar field from an ABET accredited program and 3 years of related experience or a Master's Degree in Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Business and 2 years of experience
Ability to independently solve difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
Ability to focus on the big picture to effectively and efficiently provide services that meet client needs, while also having the ability to identify and analyze details that are critical to project outcomes.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, including identification of critical path items to ensure deliverable deadlines are met.
Knowledge of electric utility systems, power generation types, power delivery with understanding of power generation portfolio planning.
