Project Scheduler (Data Center)

A P6 Scheduler (Commercial Construction) who will work under the guidance of a senior scheduler and/or project manager to assist in planning and scheduling responsibilities for small to mid-sized projects. Responsibilities include assembling and analyzing project data, developing basic schedules, and contributing to the identification of potential project risks. This role involves applying fundamental scheduling techniques and cost analysis methods while gaining hands-on experience in project planning and coordination.

• Help track labor, equipment, and material allocation to prevent conflicts.
• Safety Responsibilities and Expectations Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established Yates Safety Procedures and Work Practices Report all incidents, near hits and hazards to management. Required to wear and maintain personal PPE. Advise fellow employees of hazardous situations. Participate in workplace inspections. Comply with statutory requirements, including duty of care. Participate in required and/or assigned training. Provide suggestions to improve Safety. Present a mature approach to working safely. Attend prestart and Safety meetings and contribute. Assists with administering the site safety program as required and ensuring Trade Partner compliance with OSHA standards and Yates Site Specific Requirements and all applicable safety codes and regulations.

• Generate regular progress reports and assist in presenting findings.
• Assists with administering the site safety program as required and ensuring Trade Partner compliance with OSHA standards and Yates Site Specific Requirements and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
• Work with subcontractors and vendors to verify schedule updates.
• Report all incidents, near hits and hazards to management.
• Collaborating with project managers and teams leads to monitoring status and suggest improvements.
• Participate in workplace inspections.
• Assist in analyzing and incorporating project changes into the schedule.
• Participate in required and/or assigned training.
• Attend prestart and Safety meetings and contribute.
• Contribute to progress reports and schedule narratives for documentation.
• Determine the appropriate level of detail for each phase of the schedule.
• Develop and maintain project schedules for small to mid-sized projects.
• Follow Yates Code of Conduct
• Support cost-loaded schedules and productivity tracking.
• Identify potential scheduling risks and propose basic mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Present a mature approach to working safely.
• Preferred Skills: Basic knowledge of construction processes, resource allocation, and cost-loaded schedules. Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in supporting project schedules, updating timelines, and assisting with project reporting.
• Solid problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SmartPM).
• Certifications: No certification is required, but PSP or PMI-SP certification is a plus.
• Basic decision-making and strategic thinking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 and ERP cost management tools.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). Equivalent education, training, or experience may substitute for a degree.
• Foundational knowledge of construction disciplines and scheduling best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in CPM scheduling for commercial construction projects.
• Equivalent education, training, or experience may substitute for a degree.
