Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership, driving financial visibility, performance optimization, and data-informed decision-making across the organization. This individual will oversee all financial forecasting, budgeting, performance reporting, and analytical functions to support the company’s multifamily development, construction, and asset management activities.

• Lead the company’s financial planning processes, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial modeling.
• Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Continuously improve internal financial systems, reporting tools, and data integrity across the organization.
• Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate project risk and assess the financial impact of strategic initiatives.
• Design and implement financial dashboards, KPIs, and data visualization tools to monitor business performance across departments.
• Partner with Development, Acquisitions, and Asset Management teams to evaluate project and portfolio performance, providing actionable insights to optimize return on investment.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing FP&A team responsible for analytics, reporting, and business intelligence.
• Support debt and equity financing efforts by preparing and analyzing financial materials for lenders and investors.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain dynamic financial models that support capital planning, cash flow forecasting, and investment decision-making.

• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Vena, or similar).
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and strategic thinking.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with executive leadership.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance—ideally within real estate development, investment, or asset management.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in building, developing, and managing FP&A teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA or CFA preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates with SQL and Power BI experience, including data modeling, dashboard creation, and process automation.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
