Description

The BIM Modeler III leads the production team for BIM projects, managing model quality, drawings, and coordination files. The role supervises modeling and documentation, provides direction to staff, and ensures projects meet REI standards and schedules.

Working with the Family Development Team, the Modeler updates standards, creates and maintains Electrical Revit models, and oversees the integration of marked‑up drawings. The position requires collaboration across multiple departments and adherence to confidentiality and proprietary‑information policies.

• Lead and supervise BIM modeling and documentation for electrical projects, ensuring compliance with REI standards.
• Create, update, and maintain Electrical Revit models, including families, views, schedules, and work‑sharing processes.
• Coordinate with the Family Development Team to revise standards and support multi‑disciplinary project teams.
• Provide verbal and written direction to staff, manage resource allocation, and track project scope, schedule, and budget impacts.
• Conduct task‑based training and support for team members on BIM workflows.

Requirements

The role demands at least an associate or bachelor’s degree in drafting or architectural design, a minimum of five years of electrical drafting experience, and advanced Revit skills. Candidates must be self‑motivated, able to prioritize multiple tasks, and possess strong oral and written communication.

• Demonstrate advanced Revit proficiency, knowledge of electrical symbols, and ability to read 2D plans, one‑lines, and schedules.
