Essential duties include responding promptly to resident needs, assisting with bathing, grooming, meals, and mobility, transporting residents, performing safety checks, encouraging participation in activities, managing oxygen equipment, and accurately documenting care.
- Execute signature programs in dining, fitness, wellness, and care
- Respond promptly and kindly to resident needs while maintaining dignity, safety, and confidentiality
- Read and follow care plans to ensure proper care
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, and bowel/bladder functions
- Provide mealtime assistance including menu selection, serving, clearing, and tray delivery
- Transport residents safely, assisting with transfers and escorting to activities
- Perform regular safety checks on residents
- Encourage residents to participate in daily chores such as bed making and laundry
- Invite and lead residents in meaningful, life‑enriching activities
- Clean, complete laundry, and assist with community activities and duties
- Manage oxygen tanks and concentrators per physician orders
- Chart and document care information, including incident reports, and communicate condition changes
- Respond to resident alerts using walkie‑talkies and handle emergencies
- Ensure resident safety and comfort during fire or safety drills
- Encourage teamwork through open communication with co‑workers and other departments
- Adhere to MBK policies and procedures regarding meal breaks and rest periods
- Meet and maintain all state‑specific regulatory requirements

Qualified candidates must be at least 18, hold a high‑school diploma or equivalent, possess current first‑aid certification, pass background and health screenings, and be able to read and speak English; nurse’s‑aid certification and prior caregiving experience are preferred.
The role requires physical mobility, including kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching, and the ability to lift 40+ pounds and push 150 pounds unassisted.

- Age 18 or older, with proper work permit and authorization
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Nurse’s Aid certification preferred

- Complete health screening with negative TB test (within 6 months or 7 days of employment)
- Prior caregiving experience preferred; on‑the‑job training available for right attitude
- Ability to read and speak English
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to interact effectively with people of diverse ages and backgrounds
- Mobile and able to perform physical tasks including kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching, and bending
