HVAC Project Technician (Level 3)

Description

• Lead intermediate and helper technicians to complete HVAC projects independently.
• Install and troubleshoot ductwork, mechanical systems, refrigeration cycles, chilled water, cooling towers, pumps, valves, and equipment over 25 tons.
• Read and interpret mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and building automation plans; create take‑offs and material lists.
• Communicate effectively with co‑workers, supervisors, clients, and vendors.

Requirements

As a Level 3 Project Technician you will use your experience in problem solving and troubleshooting to move projects forward to completion with little to no supervision, while directing other members of your team. It will be the responsibility of the project technician to understand and be proficient in the installation of all material or equipment needed to successfully complete a job and exceed the expectations of the client.

The role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, lift up to 50 lb, and be on rotational on‑call duty, with occasional overtime and travel to field sites. The position is based in Corona, CA (Orange County, Greater Los Angeles Area).

• Diagnose and resolve potential issues proactively, including electrical systems and variable frequency drives (preferred).
• Meet education and experience requirements: high school diploma/GED, 5–7 years HVAC experience, trade school training, clean driving record, valid license, EPA universal certification.
