What you would be doing

Participate in the Line Apprenticeship selection process as an evaluator.
Responsible for all work being performed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Test and approve work performed.
Build and evolve the Line Apprentice training curriculum to meet company and industry needs. This includes both facilitating and instructing the Line apprentices and Journeyman level training classes.
Assist other employees doing related work during vacations, sick leave or, as workloads vary and are adjusted by Supervisory personnel.
Responsible for personnel safety, instruction, and enforcement of safety rules and procedures. Ensure safe operation of equipment and conduct job site safety audits.
Prepare, participate and document evaluations of apprentices for required reviews.
Operate and direct the operation of trucks, hoists, and related equipment faulty equipment and D.O.T. inspection reports.
Direct, instruct, and participate in all phases of work performed including but not limited to the following:
Installation, construction and maintenance of the distribution and transmission overhead and underground systems, including transformers, cables, ducts and all other related equipment, apparatus and apprentice training. This includes pole change outs for the Apprentice training yard.
Must maintain effective working relationships with other employees, customers and the public.

Hot Stick experience in live line work.
Ensure proper handling and disposal of chemicals, hazardous waste, and PCB according to rules and regulations. Must be familiar with Material Safety Data sheets (MSDS).
Must possess strong communication skills and presentation skills.
NTI graduate preferred.
