Laboratory Services Analyst

Overview

Process lab samples, manage data, and provide customer service for water quality.

Tasks

-Communicating with senior members of staff on any quality/technical issue as well as with other members of the Water Quality Department and Commercial Customers. -Always maintaining good laboratory practice and housekeeping. -Maintaining day to day contact with commercial customers and other South East water Employees as front of house contact for commercial customers. -Processing all samples and deliveries that arrive at the laboratory on time. -Completing customer bottle requests and ensure reusable items are properly maintained and available when needed. -Ensuring data is accurately entered into the Laboratory Information Management System. -Offering suggestions for improvements to methods and processes that will improve efficiency, flexibility & quality while developing analytical knowledge and other Laboratory & Water Quality skills.

What You Bring

-Previous laboratory or administrative experience. -Educated to A-level or equivalent standard. An undergraduate degree in a relevant subject is desirable. -Additionally, as part of the employment offer, you will need to pass background, identity, and employment referencing checks. -It is necessary for you to have the legal right to work in the UK when you begin employment with South East Water. -Good time management, communication and customer service skills. -Good numeracy, literacy and computer skills.
