Safety Coordinator

Description

• Occasional overnight travel for learning seminars or visits to company operations in North Carolina.

Requirements

• OSHA 510 certification is required.
• All driving records are run as part of our pre-employment process and reviewed at the discretion of the Safety Team.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
• Must be available for on call rotation as situations arise.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
• Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
• Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and project managers.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
• 3+ years of experience in the Safety field. Experience in the construction industry is strongly recommended.
• Ability to navigate safety tracking software and generate reports.
• Must have a valid Virginia driver's license.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must have positive points on state driving record.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines.
• Bilingual - ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and meeting facilitation abilities.
