Senior Water Resources Engineer or Scientist

Lead stormwater, flood, and water‑quality projects for urban and natural water systems in Florida.
Collaborating and supporting other practitioners in our environmental management, remediation, and solid waste practices;
Performing and overseeing detailed hydrologic and hydraulic studies;
Client management and interacting with client representatives;
Stormwater master planning and watershed management;
Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Developing innovative low impact development and green infrastructure solutions for the urban environment;
Task and project-level responsibility for scoping, performing, managing and delivering multiple concurrent project assignments including directing multi-disciplinary project teams;
Preparing erosion and sediment control strategies and designs;
Helping to broaden our reputation via publishing and visibility at prominent industry conferences.
Managing and/or providing technical direction on a diverse and broad scope of stormwater management, flood abatement, and water quality improvement projects;
Applying innovative 1D, 2D, and 3D hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software;
Conducting resiliency, vulnerability, and adaptation assessments, planning, and designing;
Developing construction design documents, including engineering drawings, cost estimates, and technical specifications;
In-stream and urban stormwater water quality monitoring and modeling;
At least 8 years of research or related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, natural resources or other science, with emphasis on water resources or closely related discipline. (required)
Consistent with our sell-manage-do business model, supporting lead generation, business development, staff development, and mentoring; and
Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)
Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
Experience with modeling and design software tools such as STORMWISE (ICPR), EPA-SWMM, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS. (preferred)
Occasional field work and overnight travel. (required)
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
