The role involves providing testing and consulting services for the built environment, including property condition assessments, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation analysis, and designing repairs for existing structures. Responsibilities also include occasional field and laboratory testing, assisting with reports, proposals, and project documentation, and supporting various projects as needed. The position requires interaction with senior staff, scheduling and overseeing facilities technicians, mentoring other staff, and promoting a safe workplace with proper PPE usage.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED, with preference for a B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) accredited degree or a BS in Engineering, Building Science, or a related field from an ABET‑accredited institution. Applicants should have 0‑2 years of relevant building facilities consulting experience, or alternatively four years as an ECS Facilities Staff Associate or an equivalent combination of experience, certification, and education. Experience with non‑destructive testing is preferred.
