Project Engineer 2

Description

• Coordinates with internal project support functions as directed by project team.
• Autonomy and Decision Making: Makes decisions on assigned area on responsibility, provides recommendations to supervisor and refers all exceptions to supervisor, as needed
• Provides analysis for MOC Materials and Other Costs and equipment on project site.
• Supports and/or completes job set-up and project administration in CMiC and other company technologies.
• Assists with the development and maintenance of project crew schedule.
• Participates with project QA/QC planning to ensure quality for assigned tasks.
• Pre-plans crew activities, fulfills the requirements of the daily task plan, completes look ahead schedule and provides updates to project superintendent.
• Controls costs by evaluating and improving processes of assigned tasks.
• Supports and participates in training and mentoring less experienced project team members.
• Participates in implementing project safety plans and ensures a culture of compliance through use of training, toolbox talks and communication with Safety Representatives.
• Participates with project team in managing subcontractor(s) scope of work.
• Supports the preparation of estimates, schedules, work plans, daily logs, etc.

• Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity
• Must be able to lift at least to 50 pounds
• Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Occasional activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen
• 2+ years construction experience.
• Knowledge of organizational structure and available resources
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work
• Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Climbing, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling
• May require periods of travel and/or relocation
• Knowledge of required construction technology
• Ability to assess and optimize project productivity
• Ability to apply fundamentals of the means and methods of construction management
• Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field
• Communication skills, verbal and written.
