Description

• Facilitating risk assessments, safety audits, inspections, and critical control verifications.
• Collaborating with the onsite RTW Coordinator on rehabilitation and return-to-work programs.
• Collecting, analysing, and reporting on safety performance data (including end-of-month reporting).
• Delivering and overseeing drug and alcohol testing.
• Conducting and supporting ICAM investigations into incidents.
• Engaging with teams in the field to promote proactive safety culture and continuous improvement.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Advisor to join a progressive mining operation with an outstanding safety record. Reporting to the Senior Advisor - Health, Safety and Emergency Response, this is a boots-on-the-ground role where you'll work closely with operational teams, provide expert safety guidance, and ensure that systems and procedures are not only implemented but lived across site.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Strong working knowledge of NSW Mining Acts, Regulations, and WHS legislation.
• Demonstrated experience in ICAM investigations and workplace auditing.
• Minimum 5 years' Health & Safety experience in underground mining or heavy industry.
• Hands-on, practical approach with strong data analysis and reporting capability.
• Diploma in Work Health & Safety (tertiary qualifications preferred).
• Return to Work certification (advantageous).
