Nakupuna Consulting seeks a Network Administrator with an Amazon Web Services specialty who will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining network infrastructure solutions from enterprise Cloud Access Points to the AWS Secure Cloud Computing Architecture. The role involves configuring and optimizing AWS networking services to ensure high availability, reliability, and security of network resources, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams including other network administrators, systems administrators, cyber engineers, and developers.
The position is based in Arlington, VA or Honolulu, HI, requires on‑site work at least three days per week, and follows core hours of 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM local time with flexibility for after‑hours emergencies. Occasional travel (1‑2 weeks per year) within the Continental U.S. or to Hawaii may be required, and an active Secret security clearance for U.S. citizens is mandatory.
Candidates must meet physical requirements such as the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, use stairs without assistance, perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and fingers, follow audible communications in emergencies, and sit for prolonged periods at a desk while working on a computer.
Applicants need a bachelor's degree in a technical major (or equivalent experience), at least three years of relevant professional experience, an active IAT II certification (e.g., CASP+, CySA+, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+), and preferably AWS certifications. Strong technical, analytical, decision‑making, writing, planning, and communication skills are essential.
