Environment + Sustainability
Zero Annual Energy Demand
Net Zero Initiative
Aims to achieve buildings with annual net energy demand of zero through innovative design and renewable integration.
Perform energy simulations in early design phases at no extra charge to clients.
Plan for ‘solar‑ready’ buildings by estimating PV capacity and incorporating infrastructure for future installation.
Use building performance & energy modeling, passive design, daylighting, LCCA, energy & water audits, solar feasibility studies.
Commitment to design systems that minimize carbon footprint and provide healthy spaces (‘every day is Earth Day’).
Commissioning and sustainability departments work together to meet project sustainability goals.
Lean on EPA guidance: reducing building energy use as cost‑effective greenhouse gas reduction.
Integrate renewable energy planning and modeling to balance envelope, systems sizing, and PV options.
High‑performance energy design strategies (e.g., heat‑pump chillers, occupancy‑based VAV, waste‑heat recovery, thermal storage) especially in 24/7 facilities.
Water conservation via rainwater harvesting, low‑flow fixtures, condensate recovery.
Net Zero target: achieve net zero energy buildings through continuous modeling, design trade‑offs, and solar readiness.
