Paralegal

Description

You will be an essential member of our company’s Legal team working closely with and assisting the General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel. You will provide paralegal support in handling the company’s insurance, employment, general civil litigation, fair housing matters, corporate and real estate transactions, and other legal and entity compliance matters. You will be a point of contact for the Legal department within the company, with the companies outside lawyers, and various government agencies.

• Assist with corporate entity management and compliance, including entity formation and maintenance
• Manage and organize electronic case files and legal databases
• Manage litigation discovery, including coordinating document collection and production with inside and outside counsel
• Conduct research on case law, regulations, and other legal issues relevant to the company’s industry and operations
• Draft, review, and edit legal documents including settlement agreements, releases, and basic contracts
• Respond to document subpoenas and information requests

Requirements

• Strong technology skills, including the ability to learn and maximize new software platforms quickly
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems
• Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization and external parties
• Strong attention to detail, time management skills
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience with insurance defense litigation or similar litigation
• Proactive, reliable, and able to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate

Benefits

• SALARY RANGE: $85,000-95,000 + 10% annual bonus opportunity
