Field Technician

Description

As you gain experience, ECS supports your professional growth by encouraging participation in internal and external training programs and certifications from organizations such as OSHA, ACI, ASNT, and various state DOTs.

• Perform field observation, testing, and sampling of soils, aggregates, and concrete on construction sites.
• Conduct routine laboratory and on-site tests using standard equipment and methodologies.
• Calculate and reduce test data; assist with drafting and administrative duties as needed.
• Communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers, reporting site conditions and testing requests.
• Attend project meetings, organize field equipment, and report any equipment issues.
• Pursue professional development through internal and external training programs and certifications (e.g., OSHA 10, ACI, ASNT).

Requirements

Candidates must hold a high school diploma or GED, be able to lift at least 85 pounds, and possess a valid driver’s license with insurance. Strong written and verbal communication abilities and a willingness to learn construction safety and CMT principles are essential.
