  • Build and run sophisticated models to simulate water supply systems
  • Apply risk based decision-making techniques to optimise value for customers and protect the environment

We’re looking for someone who’s highly numerate, analytical, and a confident communicator someone who can answer the big question: “What does this mean?”

Are you a data driven data modeller with a knack for turning complex models into clear insights? United Utilities is looking for a Water Resources Modeller to help shape the future of water supply in the North West and we want someone who’s ready to make a real impact.

  • Degree in a relevant scientific or numerate discipline
  • Strong coding skills in Python, R, VBA or similar
  • Ability to interrogate data and present findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with databases, information management systems, and automation
  • Experience with modelling tools and techniques (e.g. Aquator, Pywr, MISER, rainfall-runoff modelling)
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and planning skills
