While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required on a regular basis to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and/or hear.

Responsible for all aspects of the task assigned from job scoping to completion.
Provides feedback to Program Manager, Government Reps, OSICs.
Maintains HAZMAT for assigned task.
Submits daily reports and Objective Quality Evidence (OQE).
Manages working hours to keep job on track and within budget.
Tracks progress of the task using Microsoft project.
Works with Program Manager to ensure proper personnel are assigned to task.
Provides work leadership and technical training to lower-level technicians.
Maintains and updates Technical Work Instruction (TWI).
Submits Condition Reports (CRs) as needed to document issues in configuration, workability of the TWI, and growth in scope and does not proceed with work until Planning has answered the CR.
Reviews drawing for current assigned task.
Reviews drawings for material, tracks material and inventories material when received prior to the start of the task.
Works with ship to determine boundaries of the task.
Provides direct supervision to assigned personnel and subcontractors in the performance of tasks.
Leads team in daily brief.

3 years of experience in the supervision of marine preservation teams.
Must be familiar with and with assistance be able to research applicable NAVSEA Standard Items, OSHA standards, and regulatory body regulations, drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
Must be able to access all work locations, including government and private shipyards and/or vessels and must be able to obtain and retain Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) card.
Graduate of high school, trade, or industrial school.
Must be familiar with working in a naval-ship-work-environment.
Must have NBPI or NACE Certifications as a coatings inspector.
Must be able to work in all locations on and near ship location where inspections are required, including but not limited to tanks, voids, cofferdams and elevated locations.
May be required to travel for work to other locations.
5 years of experience NBPI or NACE Experience
