The Contracts Specialist at Vestas will manage a portfolio of contracts to ensure compliance, cost control, and risk management across wind project development, construction, vendor sub‑contracts, and service operations, focusing on operational and commercial aspects.
In this role, the specialist supports operational teams by interpreting contractual provisions, maintains a lifecycle contracts database, ensures all agreements align with internal guidelines, and facilitates handovers between sales, service, and construction teams while fostering strong internal relationships.
- Support operational colleagues by interpreting contractual provisions, identifying approaches, and drafting letters, notices, and amendments.
- Develop and maintain a contracts database capturing lifecycle requirements for operational and commercial obligations.
- Participate in direct customer conversations and negotiations as part of coordinated or ad‑hoc teams.
- Ensure all contracts and legal instruments comply with Vestas internal guidelines and risk policies.
- Review existing contracts for lessons learned, provide input to Sales and Service teams, and support handover of closed contracts.
- Maintain effective professional relationships with Sales, Legal, Construction, Development, Finance, and other departments.
- Initiate internal process improvements, including document management and reporting tools.
- Identify opportunities to create mutual value for Vestas and customers while protecting profitability and risk appetite.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (or a graduate law degree) plus three to five years of relevant contract administration experience, possess knowledge of commercial regulations, exhibit strong communication and negotiation skills, and be able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
Key competencies include high proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and SAP, consistent attendance, excellent written and oral communication, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field (or graduate law degree) with 3‑5 years of contract administration experience.
- Working knowledge of commercial regulations and law.
- Understanding of contract administration practices, procedures, and clause interpretation.
- Strong oral communication skills and ability to produce clear, concise written materials for non‑specialized audiences.
- Proven problem‑solving, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution capabilities.
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning new internal IT platforms.
- Notary Public certification is a useful skill.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Effective written and oral communication in technical and non‑technical terms.
- Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
