Warehouse Operative

Description

• Receive, inspect, and accurately book goods into the Warehouse Management System (WMS), maintaining up-to-date records.
• Conduct regular Perpetual Inventory (PI) checks and Bi-Annual physical stock checks. Assist in investigations for stock gains or losses to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Consistently apply "clean as you go" standards to maintain a tidy and organised workspace, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in all activities to ensure operational consistency and quality.
• Accurately pick and wrap orders for despatch, replenish and put away stock using bar code scanners to ensure precise recording of all activities.
• Maintain strict compliance with health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Collaborate effectively with other warehouse functions and departments to achieve business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and enhance overall warehouse efficiency.
• Assist if required to support processing of site stock returns.

Requirements

• Experience in the use of basic Microsoft packages (Excel, Word etc)
• Qualified in driving various MHE
• Previous experience of Warehouse Management Systems
• Literacy and Numeracy skills
• Experience of working within a warehouse environment
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
• Good written and verbal communication skills
