Prepare electrical material take-offs, cost estimates and project schedule estimates
Assist in company-wide QA/QC process
Prepare construction and procurement type specifications
Perform construction administration support and inspections
Perform electrical equipment procurement support and factory inspections
Completes multiple or complex electrical designs to support firm-wide projects by working with Project Managers (any discipline) and electrical teammates
Perform electrical calculations, design drawings, and project specifications using latest engineering practices and code requirements
Prepare detailed contract documents and studies

Pole detail and overhead power distribution design experience; preferred
Substation and transmission power design experience; preferred
Underground duct bank and vault experience; preferred
Working experience or knowledge of power generation (standby or prime) and transfer switches; preferred
Selective coordination, power flow, short circuit, and arc flash studies
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; required
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in British Columbia; required
4 to 8 years of related design experience; required
Medium voltage power distribution design experience; preferred
Membership in IEEE; preferred
Proficiency in ETAP, SKM or EasyPower; preferred
Strong knowledge of CSA CEC; required
Availability and willingness to travel
Outdoor area lighting design experience: preferred
All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
AutoCAD; required
Work experience in electrical trade is considered beneficial for practical knowledge development
Utilities experience; preferred
Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu; preferred
