Senior Accountant

• General accounting, bookkeeping and cash-flow tasks.
• Establishing policies and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial and management reports.
• Preparing daily, weekly or monthly financial reports and KPI dashboards.
• Monthly closing procedures and account reconciliations.
• Upholding internal controls to guard against financial misreporting and fraud.
• Day-to-day processes including billing, accounts receivable, collections, vendor invoicing, accounts payable, and payments.

RUI is seeking to recruit a Senior Accountant to participate in the accounting functions of the organization, including financial reporting, month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, customer invoicing & collections, and vendor billing & payments. The Senior Accountant will be an integral addition to existing finance team that is responsible for process improvement initiatives for the finance department. They will also gain exposure to M&A and greenfield expansion initiatives. The ideal candidate is hands-on, growth oriented, able to standardize information processes & controls, capable of performing month end close procedures as well as day-to-day transactions. This is a rapidly changing environment, so flexibility and the ability to fill multiple roles is important. A construction background project accounting and percentage complete accounting experience is ideal but not required.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting/finance roles
• Though not required, an ideal candidate would have prior experience working in a construction company or other business that utilizes percentage of completion (POC) accounting
• Very strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• CPA and/or experience in a public accounting firm are not required but a plus
• Hands-on experience navigating cloud-based accounting systems.
