Safety & Environmental Engineer

Description

• Support the development of products to meet the requirements of EU Directives, including the delivery of technical files and Declarations of Conformity.
• Undertaking / facilitating required Safety and Environmental analysis.
• Provide advice, guidance, and expertise to project and product teams, acting asa focal point for all project Safety, Environmental, and Product Regulatory compliance matters.
• Chair internal/external Project Safety and Environmental Committee meetings.
• Development and maintenance of Safety and Environmental Management Plans (SEMP), Safety and Environmental Cases (SECR) in accordance with UK MOD Safety and Environmental processes.

Requirements

• Knowledge and experience of UK MOD Safety and Environmental Management processes (ASEMS, DEF STAN 00-056, DEF STAN 00-51, POSMS, POEMS).
• Knowledge and experience of Military Satellite communication in the Maritime domain is an advantage, but not essential
• Working knowledge of UK / EU Safety and Environmental Product Regulatory Compliance legislation.
