Assistant Maintenance Manager

Description

• Perform seasonal outdoor tasks such as grounds policing and snow removal
• Carpentry: Replace doors, shelves, siding, and other wood components
• Prepare apartments for move-ins and assist with move-out inspections
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop
• Participate in the rotating on-call schedule
• Complete painting and drywall repairs as needed
• General: Replace broken glass, tiles, carpet, screens, appliances, and locks
• Provide mentorship to junior maintenance staff and assist with training
• Electrical: Install lamps, ballasts, repair switches, outlets, and fixtures
• Support the Service Manager with administrative and operational duties
• HVAC: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems

Requirements

• Availability for emergency on-call shifts
• 3–5 years of residential or property maintenance experience
• Strong skills in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• Plumbing: Clear backups, repair/replace toilets and faucets, install disposals
• Ability to work from ladders or lifts up to 85 feet
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required
• HVAC certification is required
• High school diploma or equivalent
