Field Services Coordinator I

Description

The Field Services Coordinator (FSC) I supports the Project Manager and Superintendent in daily operations of an assigned construction project. This field‑based role requires frequent travel and the flexibility to relocate to various job sites as projects progress.

In this role, the FSC contributes to project planning, reporting, safety, and quality assurance while serving as a liaison between office staff and field crews.

• Review plans and specifications to develop and implement a quality plan.
• Prepare checklists for quality inspections of defined work features.
• Assist with cost estimates, project scheduling, and accurate record maintenance.
• Prepare statements of work, submittals, change management documents, and daily/weekly reports.
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with all safety requirements on site.
• Inspect equipment, materials, workmanship, and finished construction for quality and specification adherence.
• Monitor field progress to verify productivity targets and schedule compliance.
• Develop and maintain QA/QC procedures and coordinate material/inventory monitoring and equipment tracking.
• Support crews with material, tooling, and equipment needs and assist with client submittals and RFIs.
• Serve as communication bridge between office staff and field employees.

Requirements

Candidates should have relevant field construction experience or education and possess the ability to travel, read blueprints, and work effectively in both office and outdoor environments.

• 6–18 months related field construction management experience (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel extensively for long periods.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting construction documents.
• Strong task‑prioritization skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Enjoy working outdoors and understand both field and office processes.
