Field Services Technician - Level 2 (Silent-Aire Mission Critical Services)

Description

• Check in as needed to ensure Manager or Field Supervisor are aware of your status.
• Follow all company policies and lead by example. Respect and strictly adhere to the non-disclosure policies, on the jobsite and away.
• Maintain all safety equipment at all times.
• Ensure all receipts or invoices for expenses have job numbers and get sent to the correct person.
• Assist on job sites with other JCI/Silent-Aire Field Technicians as needed.
• Consult Manager or Field Supervisor in times of uncertainty.
• Ensure all excess materials used for each job are listed properly and documented.
• Answer all office emails/calls in a timely manner.
• During, and/or at the end of each day/job, complete all company provided forms to the fullest extent possible.
• Check in with client at the beginning and end of each day.
• Hand in paperwork at the end of each trip for processing in sequential order.
• Report all warranty repairs to the Manager or Field Supervisor and provide the necessary info needed to report back to the plant if it is a Silent-Aire internal issue.
• Use Time Clocks in the plant and ADP app when in the Field to account for daily times.
• Responsible for completing daily scheduled tasks.
• Secure parts and tools needed throughout the day for various jobs as required.
• Obtain client signature on company provided forms where applicable.
• Give training to Field Service Technician – Level 1 and support as needed.
• Check in with Manager after the end of each workday while in the Field

Requirements

• Experience working in highly sensitive and/or mission critical facilities
• Registered refrigeration/HVAC tech, controls tech, Electrician Journeyman, or related tradesperson
• Must possess valid passport/driver’s license
• Bust be a registered apprentice in Electrical or HVAC
• Full understanding of basic electrical and control systems and how electricity works as well as the process of treating air to simultaneously control its temperature, humidity, and distribution
• Technical and working knowledge of internal and industry design and construction codes and standards
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook Word, Excel, etc.)
• Understand OHMS Law and able to use a multi-meter to read voltage, resistance values
• Ability to lift 40lbs and use ladders working from heights
• Willing to travel up to 70%
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate
• Aptitude and communications skills related to acting independently
• Ability to maintain required records and prepare reports
• General knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems
• Ability to identify 3-phase versus single phase wiring
• Proven planning, organizational, problem solving, decision–making, supplemented with a practical aptitude
• Understanding of Parallel and Series circuits
• Experience working in Industrial, Manufacturing Facilities and/or Field environments
• Ability to read, understand and work from mechanical drawings
