Tasks
You are responsible for managing and controlling costs throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. You will ensure projects stay within budget, resources are effectively utilised, and all parties comply with contractual obligations. You are critical to the success of all projects, serving as the financial guardian and ensuring that costs are well-managed without sacrificing quality. -Providing the necessary information to enable an accurate and regular review of cash flow and position on contracts to be maintained. -Representing the Company’s interest at meetings held relating to the work under their control. -In conjunction with the Procurement Manager, placing of supplier agreements and sub-contracts on work under the Quantity Surveyor’s control. -Preparation of monthly, interim and final valuations, applications for payment, reconciliations of valuations and costs, and certification of amounts for contract, sub-contractors, specialists and suppliers. -Providing support, guidance, training and mentorship to develop the commercial team. -Supporting staff to perform commercial/contractual duties as necessary. -Liaising with other departments to provide information to improve the service provided and received by the Commercial / Financial Departments -Maintaining good relations with clients and their representatives.

What You Bring
-Previous experience working on water projects – wastewater/clean water -Experience in NEC Contracts -Must have experience in supporting civil infrastructure projects. -3 – 5 years + relevant experience required. -Strong Commercial Focus. -Full Clean UK Driving License -A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying/Engineering (or similar) from a UK University to support your competency in the role.
