

Specialist in global electrical asset management, boosting grid safety, reliability and longevity.
Collaborate with other members of the finance team to ensure smooth workflow and support during audits, financial reviews and ad hoc finance projects
Assist with month-end processes and reporting , including journal preparation and general ledger reconciliations
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly
Ensure accurate cashbook postings and provide support on any queries raised
Maintain financial records in accordance with company policies and audit requirements
Own the production of ESG reporting
Manage the purchase ledger, ensuring supplier invoices and credit notes are processed accurately and in a timely manner
Support the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings
Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of supplier accounts
Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts, investigating and resolving unmatched transactions
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
We have a vacancy for a Finance Assistant to join our fantastic Finance team so, if you’re experienced in managing purchase ledgers, performing bank reconciliations and supporting month-end financial processes, we’d love to hear from you!
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong understanding of double-entry accounting, from trial balance to production of accounts
Experience in purchase ledger and bank/general ledger reconciliations
Strong project planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g Sage, SAP or similar)
***This is a hybrid role requiring you to be on-site in Capenhurst near Chester (CH1 6ES) 3 days per week***
AAT qualified (Level 4)
