Participates in data collection and actively provides input towards the project weekly and monthly progress reports.
Participates and leads a multi-disciplinary project controls team (scheduling and planning, estimating, cost-control, subcontract, and document control).
Participates in project controls team meetings, and project meetings as applicable to their scope.
Maintains project documents in an organized and consistent manner. Ensures that field personnel have access to the latest drawings and specifications for building.
Analyzes and communicates the trending schedule, progress, and cost information to project personnel.
Completes regular reporting and auditing as required by the project or project controls team.
Supervises, directs, coaches, trains, and mentors the project team and superintendents on the same site or multiple sites, as it relates to project controls.
Adheres to PCL's project control processes and procedures.
Ensures alignment of project control systems and processes.
Maintains project management software parameters and updates them for the project team as required.
Establishes and maintains effective relationships with project teams, key partners, and decision makers.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with ability to learn in-house software applications quickly.
Construction trade certification with equivalent experience, or post-secondary diploma or degree in construction management or engineering preferred. Relevant designation is an asset.
An understanding of all project management functions including scheduling and planning, cost control and forecasting, progressing, change management and document control.
Experience using SharePoint or another similar 'Internet-based document management system' (IBDMS).
Ability to adapt communication style across multiple departments and functions including clients, supervision, and craft workers.
Organizational skills, high level of detail orientation, and ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting deadlines.
Ability to travel to project sites for extended periods of time.
3 years of project controls experience in construction or related field.
Strong analysis and problem-solving abilities.
