Track daily progress, maintain field logs, take progress photos, and submit Daily Inspection Reports via email or Trimble as required.
Verify that the contractor is performing the required testing and inspection of the work and materials being placed.

Support coordination of third-party utility work, flagging, and shutdown activities.
MAKE EFFECTIVE DECISIONS - Structure activities according to priorities, actions, resources and constraint
Attend the required training and maintain current training as required.
Participate in field meetings, site walks, and assist in coordinating with stakeholders and internal teams.
Identify problems in the field in advance and report them to the supervisor in a timely manner.
Monitor and document contractor work and existing infrastructure status to ensure compliance with contract documents.
Help maintain records for potential change orders, claims, and as-built documentation.
PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - Promote commitment by keeping promises as a Role Model
Assist with project administration. Prioritize safety procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
BUILD NETWORK - Forge trust relationships, across departments, and outside the organization
Track work on Time & Material basis (T&M) if required.
Verify work is being installed meeting Quality Requirements of Specifications, Plans, and Standards.
Review shop drawings and schedules for constructability.
Work on high-impact transportation projects that shape our cities.
Recommend solutions to design, construction, and project related problems.

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management is preferred. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are preferred.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and submittals
A personal vehicle to travel to the project different site locations may be required
Valid driver’s license
3+ years of field experience in construction. Transit or infrastructure project experience is preferred.
Demonstrate positive work attitude and behaviors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of project management or field reporting software [Trimble Unity Construct (formerly e-Builder), Share Point, and Bluebeam].
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be familiar with project RFIs, Submittals, and other relevant documents.
