You will work on the Uisce Éireann Growth & Development Programme and the Engineering Services Provider Framework, providing design services for water and wastewater treatment plants, networks, and associated infrastructure. The position offers the chance to influence national‑scale programmes that enable social and economic growth, including essential housing.
Key responsibilities include leading the development and integration of all MEICA design elements from concept through detailed design, forecasting technical resources for bids, and ensuring projects meet scope, time, cost and quality targets. You will champion health and safety, drive innovation in sustainability and energy efficiency, and build geographically diverse MEICA teams while collaborating with global Enterprise Capability centres.
- Lead development and integration of MEICA design from concept to detailed design, coordinating with civil and process engineering.
- Forecast technical knowledge and resource requirements to support bids and business development.
- Monitor project delivery against scope, schedule, cost and quality, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Promote and enforce health, safety and workplace standards for staff and projects.
- Build and lead geographically diverse MEICA teams, handling recruitment and staff development.
- Drive innovative, sustainable and energy‑efficient solutions within MEICA designs.
- Shape and apply digital tools (BIM, ProjectWise, intelligent P&IDs, in‑house software) across projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and global Enterprise Capability centres in India, South Africa and Romania.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) in Mechanical, Electrical or a related discipline and be an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer. Extensive water and wastewater experience, process‑safety knowledge, and the ability to manage the full project lifecycle—from proposal to hand‑over—are essential, together with strong communication skills to represent AECOM with clients.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (NFQ Level 8) in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering.
- Be an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer with relevant professional institution membership.
- Possess extensive water and wastewater industry experience, including process safety familiarity.
- Offer strong communication skills to represent AECOM with clients.
