Commercial Analyst

• Support the preparation of business cases and financial proposals for new and existing clients.
• Work closely with finance, operations, procurement, and other departments to gather necessary data and insights for cost models.
• Ensure cost models accurately reflect the solutions and costs associated with delivering services, including labour, materials, overhead, and other direct and indirect costs.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis to validate cost assumptions and ensure the accuracy and competitiveness of pricing proposals.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost modelling processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the sales team to tailor cost models to specific client requirements and project scopes
• Develop, maintain, and improve detailed cost models to support pricing strategies and sales proposals.
• Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and tailor solutions and cost models accordingly.
• Stay informed of industry trends and best practices to ensure cost models remain relevant and competitive.

The Commercial Analyst is a key position focused on developing solutions, managing, and optimizing cost models that support our sales operations. As the Commercial Analyst, you will work closely with our Business Development colleagues and play a critical role in ensuring our sales strategies are financially robust. This role is responsible for ensuring that our solutions are compelling & pricing strategies are competitive. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.

• Proficiency in financial modelling and Excel skills.
• Ability to think strategically and align cost models with broader business objectives.
• Knowledge of the specific industry in which the company operates can be beneficial, providing context for cost structures and market conditions.
• Proven experience (typically +2 years) in financial analysis, cost modelling, or related roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in developing and optimizing cost structures and pricing models.
