Apply advanced level technical support expertise to resolve highly complex equipment failures or related issues with power transmission components (chains, belts, sprockets, pulleys, bearings, clutches, gear boxes, conveyors), hydraulic cylinders and valves, pneumatic cylinders and valves, gearboxes, solenoids, actuators, pumps, hoists, material handling equipment, and other components of production, facility, and/or material handling equipment..
Participates in contributing and completion of continuous improvement suggestion, A3, Kaizen Events and projects for improvement.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical ladder and mechanical schematics
Perform and demonstrate highly skilled knowledge of, and trouble shooting skills for, automation control systems throughout the facility. This will require a high level understanding of automation equipment which includes PLC, relays, sensors, PID Controllers, variable frequency drives, servos and motors.
Skilled in troubleshooting skills for AC and DC motors, VFD controls, motor overloads, motor starters, disconnects, contactors, proximity sensors, photo eyes, limit switches, transformers.
Requires a minimum of associate’s degree or diploma in a related technical discipline or equivalent.
All parts used, work performed and other paper work properly completed and documented.
The individual must be able to use these skills to make connections to a PLC and proceed to line level logic as part of the identification for trouble shoot and repair all the automation problems, label printing and application on production equipment, and then document all work performed.
Self-starter and work under minimal supervision.
Expert knowledge of PLC’s, VFD’s, Robotics.
Must have skills and experience in creating and editing ladder and relay logic. Must also have a working knowledge of Visual Basic, and other basic programs.
Fully engaged in the 6S, lean, and tier management for organization.
Must be able to trouble shoot the automated equipment and components as well as all other related automated, semi-auto or manual featured equipment. These will include devices like a servo motor and robotic control systems in our facility.
Skilled knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical distribution and controls.
Knowledgeable of sensor types and trouble- shooting on each type to determine good/bad.
Critical thinking skills.
Certificate indicating previous successful programming and logic understanding for PLC, if from a vendor training then some proven past programming demonstration.
Understand and execute verbal and written technical instructions.
