Uses Navisworks to help coordinate locations and solve conflicts.
Establishes drawings and document format required to plan work. Understands and complies with job specific contractual scope of work and associated requirements to plan the project. Verifies that all drawings are complete to a constructible state. Provide consistent drawings of acceptable quality and accuracy for distribution to the field. Creates accurate record drawings from red-lined field markups either before work starts or after work is complete. Change visibility of backgrounds provided to make B&I’s drawings clean and legible.
The position carries the responsibility of endeavoring that the work is planned effectively within the constraints given including cost, schedule and information provided to you. Provide accurate documents and models that represent real world installations. The position carries the responsibility to ensure we provide accurate and coordinated shop drawings as well as assisting the Trade departments with the spool drawing process and material take offs from the shop drawings.
Participate in project meetings both internal to B&I and external with our customer and the project trade partners.
Communicates effectively and keep open lines of communication with all co-workers, project personnel, customers and others as required.
Work in conformity with company Trade BIM/VDC Standards and detailing and coordination practices. Participate in the improvement of company's Trade BIM/VDC Standards and detailing and coordination practices.

This position requires the ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis. The employee must be capable of performing physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and lifting within OSHA ergonomic safety guidelines. Safe lifting techniques must be used to comply with all applicable workplace safety standards.
Has proficiency or shows willingness and initiative to learn current and future BIM/VDC tools.

Proficiency with software tools including; AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related 3D detailing software tools.
Demonstrates and displays honesty, integrity and personal accountability.
A Degree in design/drafting or equivalent work experience.
Shares knowledge of relevant up to date and future software tools that develop and maintain productivity.
Minimum of one (1) year work experience in commercial construction.
Possesses a working knowledge and ability to use Revit and Fabrication CADMEP to produce accurate production level drawings.
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to interface with construction industry professionals with professionalism and credibility.
Able to comprehend construction documents to understand the construction constraints as it applies to your trade.
