Collaborate with procurement and subcontractor trades to update pricing and refine estimates.
Support the cost control team in monitoring budget versus actual cost performance.
Verify and validate existing quantity take-offs prepared by others.
Identify scope gaps, overlaps, or potential claims by reviewing drawings, specifications, and site progress.
Coordinate with procurement and subcontract administration teams to align estimated quantities and rates with contract provisions.
Break down quantities based on the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to align with project controls and reporting requirements.
Work closely with the design and construction teams to identify value engineering and optimization opportunities.
Prepare and assist in the submission of variation proposals, including supporting calculations and documentation.
Perform detailed quantity take-offs from IFC drawings, shop drawings, models, and field measurements.
Conduct price benchmarking using market data, historical rates, and executed contract rates.

Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Ability to manage time and formulate plans to meet multiple deadlines within a high-pressure work environment.
University degree, College diploma in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
2-5 years of experience completing estimates for multidisciplinary construction projects.
Good knowledge of job cost fundamentals for typical items and scopes where design and/or schematics have been provided.
Experience with estimating software is considered an asset.
Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
Demonstrated computer software proficiency- MS Excel/Word.
Proven organizational skills.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and documents.
