Cost Estimator

Description

You’ll work closely with senior leadership, project managers, and preconstruction teams to prepare accurate, detailed estimates and proposals across a diverse range of projects — including [insert project types: commercial, multifamily, tenant improvement, ground-up, etc.

• Assist in developing budgets, bid proposals, and value engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and clients to ensure accuracy and alignment on scope and pricing.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings and contribute to project planning and scheduling.
• Maintain current knowledge of market pricing, materials, and subcontractor availability.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive and complete pricing.

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software (such as Bluebeam, OST, or Procore Estimating).
• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and cost structures.
• 2–5 years of experience in construction estimating, preconstruction, or a related field.
