In this role you will maintain and optimize servers, PCs, mobile devices, and networks to ensure high availability and performance, respond to service requests in line with IT Service Management principles, and participate in a 24‑hour on‑call rotation. You will also design system improvements, manage updates, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and migrations, and provide technical support for hardware, software, middleware, and OT cybersecurity challenges.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field and has 2–5 years of experience in IT systems analysis or infrastructure support, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Required skills include strong problem‑solving and communication abilities, proficiency with hardware architecture, basic networking, system testing, and the creation of technical documentation, as well as the capability to analyze and document business requirements.
The position requires a safety‑first mindset, the ability to lift equipment up to 50 lb, and comfort working at elevated heights or in environments with large machinery, welding, robotics, and loud noise. Use of required personal protective equipment such as steel‑toe shoes and head protection is mandatory.
Based in Decatur, IL, this role works onsite five days a week with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates; visa sponsorship is not offered. The salary range is $87,480 – $131,280, with total compensation influenced by factors such as experience, performance, and market location.
