- Resolve contractor questions and drawing clarifications
- Maintain project records that are complete and organized per client policy
- Manage project staff who perform daily oversight of the contractor and construction documentation.
- Monitor internal project budgets
- Ensure staff compliance with the Group Safety manual.
- Monitor contractor’s performance for workmanship, schedule, and contract requirements.
- Anticipate and resolve issues and concerns promptly from the owner, contractor, residents, public officials, and other stakeholders
- Serve as a project’s technical expert with the responsibility to make decisions that affect the outcome of a project.
- Identify new business opportunities, clients, and potential services for future growth
- Lead or assist Business Development Manager or others with marketing, interviews, proposal preparation, and securing future construction management work.
- Maintain active and positive client relationships and communications.
- Mentor and train lower-level engineers and technicians.
- Prepare reports, run progress meetings with the contractor and owner, and manage the shop drawing review process.

- Ability to multitask effectively and work independently, while collaborating with other team members and managers.
- Excellent visualization, communication, and documentation skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- 10+ years of experience in engineering and/or construction management projects

- Experience leading other staff
- Communication Skills
- IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities certification and IDOT Erosion Control Fundamentals and Inspection Modules.
- Attention to Detail
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction engineering is preferred
- Proficient in Construction Materials Management System (CMMS), CDOT CMQA, and Trimble Unity Construct.
- Experience as a Resident Engineer on IDOT/ISTHA/CDOT projects
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Aptitude to act as a positive representative of Stanley Consultants, Inc. core values and an active participant in an outside professional organization.
- Proven ability to distribute learned knowledge to Resident Project Representatives, Construction Observer’s, and Material Testing Technicians
- PE license is required
