The Lead Generator Mechanical Engineer is tasked with designing mechanical components of hydro generators for installed‑based projects and delivering technical support throughout the supply chain and site phases.
The role operates remotely and collaborates globally with engineering Centers of Excellence, project engineering managers and consulting engineers, contributing to design work packages, reviews, calculations, specifications, drawings and bills of materials while supervising junior engineers and applying reliability, quality, safety and cost principles.
Candidates must hold a mechanical engineering bachelor’s degree, possess strong strength‑of‑materials knowledge, experience with non‑destructive examination, materials and welding, and at least five years of generator mechanical design experience; they should demonstrate pro‑activeness, communication, leadership, analytical skills, be a licensed (or soon‑to‑be) Professional Engineer, and be willing to travel within North America.
