Provide feedback to site management on laboratory performance
Ensure compliance to changes resulting from continuous improvement initiatives
Establish and manage plan for SQC/SPC data review of in-process and final data for improved performance
Provide support for site restricted inventory management and rework plans
Improve the efficiency of the laboratory and increase manufacturing support through increased utilization of the laboratory information system (SAP QM Module)
Establish and monitor performance metrics for Process Control/Right First Time/Restricted Inventory Generation
Responsible for tactical and strategic proposals around service level improvements and works with leadership to make these reality
Financial: Ensure delivery on budget fixed cost performance and identify and drive cost reduction opportunities for plant
QA & QC: Responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Control on site and the monitoring and maintenance of the ISO 9001 and HOQ (House of Quality) system.
Partner with R&D and peers at other sites to identify opportunities in new method development and reduction in current method variation
Coordinate and conduct training for new processes or changes to processes
Provide appropriate training to strengthen plant personnel knowledge of and capabilities for meeting quality objectives
Establish metrics to monitor laboratory support in manufacturing, and monitor and report results
Leading and Managing audits (internal & external)
Monitor in-process data entry and lead monitoring, performance improvement and reporting
Escalate issues and obtain resources if necessary to provide site support
Identify development opportunities to increase job-related skills
EHS&S: Responsible for ensuring the safe operation of the quality department.

5 years’ experience in manufacturing in chemical industry (surfactants and person care product manufacturing preferred)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
5 years of supervisory experience
Master’s degree preferred
Experience leading teams and working with customers
Experience in troubleshooting difficult problems in a plant environment
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, and to manage cross functional teams.
Bachelor’s Degree reqeuired / Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred
Regulatory and Policy Compliance: Understand all applicable regulations and policies and assures compliance.
Excellent project management and organization skills
Knowledge and experience with implementation, maintenance, and audit of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or similar)
