The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing safety and quality control inspections across assigned work environments and personnel. The role operates with minimal supervision, addressing QC and safety challenges and resolving issues that arise on contract sites. This position ensures compliance with contract requirements, performance work statements, and OSHA regulations.
Key duties include implementing contract‑specific QC and Safety Plans, conducting inspections, documenting non‑compliance, and maintaining databases such as SeeSOR and Industry Safe. The inspector monitors subcontractor performance, prepares incident reports, leads QA/QC/Safety meetings, and provides timely reports to management. Work is scheduled amid changing priorities, and emergency site maintenance may be required. All activities adhere to OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards and company safety policies.
Applicants must have at least two years of QC or safety experience, an OSHA 30‑Hour certification, and solid knowledge of OSHA 1910/1926 regulations. Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a Secret‑level security clearance are also required. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree, construction quality management training, facility maintenance experience, and ISO Internal Auditor certification.
