Utilizes BIM technologies in the development of three-dimensional models of building’s mechanical systems and provides markups for junior engineers.
Provide fee development and technical writing support for mechanical components of medium to large multi-disciplinary proposals.
Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor, sub-contractors, and vendors.
Leads the preparation and coordination of the project specifications with construction documents.
Evaluates, selects, specifies, and engineers all mechanical engineered systems or products for a project.
Prepares and revises documentation in various mechanical phases including site plans, floor plans, diagrams, and details.
Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers.
Assists in the development of new standards and specifications for the mechanical group.

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering & Licensed Professional Engineer.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
Requisite knowledge and application of applicable building codes and applicable building and energy codes.
Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Revizto, and heat load calculation software.
Must be able to qualify for Security Clearance with the Department of National Defense.
Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.
Advanced oral and written communication skills.
Presentation and interview skills are preferred.
Internal leadership in design excellence, coaching, recruitment and retention.
General understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
Minimum of 15 years of experience.
