Description

The Yard Loader is responsible for safely loading and unloading all deliveries at ADS, operating forklifts and other plant equipment, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role requires strong customer service skills when interacting with drivers and customers, adherence to safety protocols, and the flexibility to work 40+ hours per week, including weekends. The Yard Loader reports directly to the Yard Supervisor or Yard Manager.

• Operate forklifts safely and perform preventative maintenance
• Load and unload deliveries while providing excellent customer service
• Conduct final visual inspections, label finished goods, and ensure product rotation
• Maintain a safe work environment using personal protective equipment
• Communicate unsafe conditions immediately and uphold a safety culture
• Track inventory levels and stay current on pipe specifications and packaging
• Participate in continuous improvement and facility housekeeping

Requirements

Applicants should be self‑motivated, able to work independently, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Required skills include basic inventory management, forklift operation, dependability, teamwork, and basic mathematical ability. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior experience in a warehouse, industrial, or manufacturing setting is preferred.
